Today was the first court hearing for the guy Donald Trump appointed as special master to analyze the confidential information Trump took from the federal government and illegally concealed at Mar-a-Lago. Team Trump did not do well at the hearing. Judge Dearie asked Trump's criminal defense counsel what papers (if any) Trump declassified. Trump's counsel refused to respond, claiming that doing so would jeopardize their capacity to defend against future indictments. "You can't have your cake and eat it, too," Judge Dearie reminded out.
