Who Will Win The British Open? Not Jordan Spieth. Draft Kings Picks.

Last week our picks placed in 44,888th place out of 122,745. Unfortunately, no money was won for the $5 entry fee. However, we learned several things from last week. Here is a quick review of last week's players and results.
My favorite was Steve Stricker who has dominated the event. The debate is whether to pick him or Zack Johnson who also has done well here. Stricker is having a better year and he had a good but not great week. He picked up 81.50 points and finished -10 for 43rd place.
The second pick is Kevin Streelman who has made 18 of 22 cuts and has 4 top tens. Had a great week finishing with 92 points and in 7th place at -16.
The third pick is Kelly Kraft who is hot after a second place finish. He Has made 14 of 24 cuts and has 3 top tens. Finished at -6 for 63rd place and scored 67 points.
The fourth pick Si Woo Kim who also has 3 top tens and has made 16 of 21 cuts. Missed the cut and scored 27.50 points the first two days.
The fifth pick is Brian Gay who is playing terrific as of late. This year he has 4 top tens and made 16 of 22 cuts. Missed the cut and scored 33.50 points.
The sleeper pick and my last pick is Joel Dahlman who tied for fifth last week at the Greenbrier Classic giving him his first top ten. He has made 14 of 21 cuts. Our sleeper had a great week finishing in second place with 116.50 points shooting -19.
We had some great picks BUT having two players miss the cut hurt. The cut was at -3 which makes it hard to avoid a player being cut. The goal each week is to avoid having a player get after 2 rounds. Overall I rate the picks a solid B-.
Each week through Draft Kings you can play in their fantasy golf contests. Using a quantitative process I call Quantitative Sports Gambling (QSG), here are my picks for this week which is The British Open. The game to play is the $4 contest with $700,000 in prizes. $100,000 goes to the top finisher.
The first pick is Justin Rose who has made 17 of 17 cuts has 12 top tens. His cost is $10,200
The second pick is Brooks Koepka who has made 9 of 9 cuts and has 3 top tens including the recent win at The U.S. Open. His cost is $9,200.
The third pick is Tiger Woods who has made 10 of 12 cuts and has 4 top tens. His cost is $8,900.
The fourth pick is Henrik who has made 13 of 14 cuts and has 7 top tens. His cost is $8,200.
The fifth pick is Kevin Na who has made 13 of 17 cuts and has 4 top tens including a recent win at The Greenbriar. He is a steal at $7,000.
The sleeper pick is Si Woo Kim who has made 16 of 22 cuts and has 3 top tens. He is a bargain at $6,500 and should not miss a second cut in a row.
Conditions early on in the tournament are for sunny weather and dry conditions. The wind on Sunday could be 25 mph. Play starts overnight so enjoy the third of the four majors!
P.S. Do not spend the money for Jordan Spieth as his putter has been awful of late and we do not expect him or Jason Day to make the cut.
