The pandemic appears to be out of control, but the U.S. Stock Market is soaring.  There are despite economic woes and new spikes could shut down huge parts of the country, but the NASDAQ, Dow Jones, and S+P look rosy.

The pandemic in the United States is showing signs of being worse than ever before. Daily news infections are hovering around 50,000 a day during the past seven days. Hospitals in Texas, Florida and Arizona can increase their bed capacity but can’t get enough doctors, nurses, and medical support staff to keep up with the demand for care.

Arizona surpassed 100,000 cases in a single day. The spike Miami-Dade County in Florida Mayor Carlos Gimenez announced he is signing an emergency order to close short-term rentals, gyms, party venues, and restaurants, except for takeout and delivery. Gimenez said…

"We are still tracking the spike in the number of cases involving 18- to 34-year-olds that began in mid-June, which the county’s medical experts say was caused by a number of factors, including young people going to congested places -- indoors and outside -- without taking precautions such as wearing masks and practicing social distancing,"

"Contributing to the positives in that age group, the doctors have told me, were graduation parties, gatherings at restaurants that turned into packed parties."

In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has been forced by the reality of the crisis has ordered that face coverings must be worn in public across most of the state, a dramatic ramp-up of the Republican's efforts to control spiking numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.

Abbott’s order applies to all Texas counties with 20 or more cases of coronavirus infection. Reports confirm the state faces a huge surge in COVID-19 cases. The governor when signing the order that…

“Further measures are needed to achieve the least restrictive means for reducing the growing spread of COVID-19, and to avoid a need for more extreme measures.”

Despite the coronavirus pandemic being out of control, Wall Street continues to soar with the NASDAQ reaching a new high and the S&P approaching a new record. Many market experts are warning this is a giant bubble that has no earnings justification. The Dow Jones is up 345 points at 2:18 EST.
