Trump’s attacks on Dr. Anthony Fauci are designed to delegitimize science and falsely minimize the danger of the coronavirus to the American people. Washington D.C. Republican politicians are going to lose a Tsunami election.

President Trump and his minions have declared war on the credibility of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a position he has held since 1984.  Fauci's recommendations and infectious disease expertise have often gone unnoticed by President Trump; of late, the White House's message directed at Dr. Fauci resembles more like an adversarial political opponent than an administrative infectious disease expert.   Now it is learned after news has become public that President Trump has not met with Fauci in 2 months.

Dr. Fauci is considered one of the top experts in the world on infectious disease.

Fauci has earned many of the most prestigious awards available to a person in his field, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the National Medal of Science, and the Mary Woodard Lasker Award for Public Service. In 2019, he was among the inaugural class inducted into the Government Hall of Fame.

Fauci also has been awarded 45 honorary doctoral degrees from universities around the world and is a member of such organizations as the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medicine, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Philosophical Society.

Public polling shows 67% of the American public trusts Dr. Fauci for accurate information about the coronavirus crisis versus 26% who trust Trump.

The reason for the lack of trust in President Trump for accurate information about the pandemic is being featured in a supercut video put together by CNN news today that shows just how wrong President Trump has been since the pandemic outbreak began.

The attack on Dr. Fauci is just another in a long stream of attacks on the truth that is destroying the credibility as new infections of the coronavirus have steadily climbed to over 50,000 a day nationally, and the number of fatalities has soared to over 135,000.

Kathleen Sebelius, who served as secretary of Health and Human Services under former President Barack Obama, told CNN efforts to discredit Fauci and other scientists are “potentially very, very dangerous” as the U.S. and other countries work toward a coronavirus vaccine.

"I think people want to know from the scientists that the vaccine is safe, that it is effective, that it will not do more harm than good," she told Blitzer on "The Situation Room."

"And if the public scientists have been discredited, if the President says 'don't believe them, you can't listen to them, they're often wrong,' we have then undermined a national vaccination campaign which is an essential step to bringing this horrible period to an end."

We now not only have a nightmarish pandemic underway, but we have a truth crisis underway that is not only designed to smear Dr. Fauci but also is intended to delegitimize science. On this week’s CNN Sunday news show Reliable Sources, its host Brian Stelter broke down President Donald Trump’s recent false and confusing claims. He warned that “we are in a truth emergency” that could severely aggravate the pandemic’s impact on the public.
