Trump, Pence COVID-19 Exposure: White House Newest Hot Spot?

If Trump and Pence wind up on respirators, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi will be sworn in as acting President.

Two days after it was reported that one of President Trump’s military valet’s tested positive for COVID-19, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence has also tested positive.  The latest positive test was confirmed by a person familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters and has been confirmed by several news sources.

Their failure to take immediate precautions could lead to the White House becoming a coronavirus “HOT SPOT.” The danger of these infections cannot be overstressed. Both men should be in 14 to 21-day quarantine as of two days ago.

Even when it looked like Vladimir Putin in Moscow was potentially infected by COVID-19, he went into voluntary quarantine.

Trump, on the other hand, believes that if he and Pence wear masks, they will look weak, so they both have been risking their lives because of the President’s political calculations.

The White House claims it has made moves to shore up its protection protocols to protect the nation’s political leaders in the White House. Trump has said that some staffers who interact with him closely would now be tested daily.  This is an oxymoron approach to prevention.  Accept the maximum risk with no precaution and then setup the prevention protocols.

The fact is both men who tested positive had extensive access and exposure to the White House kitchen and staff; many staffers may already be infected, perhaps dozens working with, around and near President Trump and Vice President Pence. They may test positive in the next 14-21 days, confounding the White House protections.

If Trump and Pence are incapacitated by the virus, under The United States Constitution, Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be sworn in as acting President.

President Pelosi is no longer the stuff of wishful thinking.

The shocking confirmation that Trump, and Pence, as well as others in the White House, are infected - could come any day.

The re-opening of America before each of our states has seen…

  •  A 14-day decline in infections
  •  Before the testing needed is in place
  •  Before contact tracing abilities have been set up

…could end up killing millions and millions of Americans. In fact, this virus’ pandemic is such a contagious scourge that it will kill by current statistics 6% of the people who are infected with it.

That means if 70% of all Americans (330 million x 70%) 231 million people are at risk of infection, with a 6% fatality rate could lead to 13.86 million Americans dying;  because President Trump and his Administration is putting money before lives, and ignoring what the vast majority doctors and scientists are saying.

The irony of Trump and Pence being confirmed as infected would be another considerable body blow to their descending credibility in the polls. GOP Washington lawmakers are in a panic over the increasing likelihood that they will lose the White House, Senate, and more seats in the House of Representatives. They have begun to worry that the Democrats may end up with 60 seats in the U.S. Senate.
