Patton’s public statement that she doesn’t care if she broke the law should result in being subpoenaed to confirm her assertion under oath. If she ignores the House subpoena, she should be arrested by the House Sergeant of Arms, and capital police and brought before the Judiciary questioning.

Lynne Patton a regional housing and Urban Development official wrote on her Twitter account on last Wednesday that she did not care if she had broken a federal law intended to stop government officials from acting in a partisan manner.
Patton oversees HUD operations in New York and New Jersey, reposted a message from an account named "Educating Liberals." The initial post defended Housing Secretary Ben Carson and criticized Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The Tweet…
"Just retweeted this amazing tweet from both of my Twitter accounts–professional and personal. It may be a Hatch Act violation. It may not be. Either way, I honestly don’t care anymore," Patton wrote. "These people are determined to try to ruin and discredit a good man."
Then to make clear her disrespect for the rule of law and responding to criticism for posting the comments, she tweeted on Sunday…
"What part about 'I don’t give a [s**t]' don’t you understand?"
Knowingly and willing flaunting the law shows clearly this Trump official has no respect for the rule of law, something being echoed by President Trump, and many of his acting and confirmed cabinet officials.
The best way to react is to force Lynne Patton to either testify before Congress under oath, publicly under oath express he contempt for the law or allow her to assert her 5th Amendment Rights. In either case, the House Judiciary should take action to remove her from office as a signal to all of those in the Trump Administration breaking the law that Congress will use all of its tools to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution.
