Thoughts On Last Night's Debate
James wears his politics on his sleeve. He hates Trump and everything he stands for. He called him out on day one. Simply, James is a Rockefeller Republican but he has a soft spot for the Democratic Party.
Me on the other hand, I am a Republican or was until Trump hijacked the Republican Party. The party has morphed into endorsing whatever President Trump aka "The Joker" decides is best for America. So last night I listened because Mike Bloomberg entered the debate and I am or was a fan.
First, let me tell you I first met Mike Bloomberg in 1989 when he called a meeting at his firm that I was invited to. He was impressive then as he was building Bloomberg into a machine. To be clear, I have worked with his firm since 1989 and have nothing but good things to say about him and his firm.
That said I am well aware of the lawsuits against him from several female employees. He needed to put this behind him and instead it left me and America with more questions. He was not prepared to deal with this issue. He also failed on his taxes and "stop and frisk". That said, he gets a redo next week in South Carolina. He better follow the 6 Ps (Prior Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance). Remember that Trump and Obama had horrible first debates and recovered to go on to become President.
The rest of those on the stage last night still remain "the gang that cannot shoot straight". Senator Amy Klobuchar fell apart under the questioning from Mayor Pete. Too bad. Mayor Pete came off ten times smarter than the rest of the field with one exception. Senator Elizabeth Warren who had the best performance as she was judge, jury and executioner of Michael Bloomberg,
James hates Trump and I hate Elizabeth Warren. But last night I was rooting for her as she came back to the center. The one thing I know without a doubt is that Senator Bernie Sanders is a different version of Donald Trump and as such I am labeling him Joker II.
The media wants him to win. God knows why? Maybe the media really wants a Trump second term because it is good for business as more papers are read and television is watched. That would be very sad if true.
