The Week Ahead For The First Week Of March
The S&P 500, Russell 2000, Dow Jones Industrial Average and NASDAQ 100 were lower last week.
1.Geopolitical and Fiscal Events. This week will be a quiet one. The Federal Reserve Beige Book is out Wednesday afternoon. Thursday sees Federal Reserve Chairman Powell speak with The Wall Street Journal.
2.Economic Releases. Releases of note this week include the weekly chain store sales, oil/gas numbers, mortgage applications and jobless claims as well as ISM Manufacturing, Construction Spending, ADP Employment Report, ISM Non-Manufacturing, Factory Order, Nonfarm Payrolls and Unemployment Rate.
3.Earnings Releases. Notable releases this upcoming week include ZM MELI SEA TGT SNOW MRVL AVGO BRCM GSX BIDU.
Monday, March 1
January Construction Spending is due out at 10:00 a.m. EST and expected to fall to 0.6% from 1.0%.
Tuesday, March 2
None of note.
Wednesday, March 3
January ADP Employment Index is due out at 10:00 a.m. EST and is expected to fall to 150,000 from 180,000.
February ISM Non-Manufacturing Index is due out at 10:00 a.m. EST and is expected to rise to 59% from 58.7%.
The March Federal Reserve Beige Book is due out at 2:00 p.m. EST.
Thursday, March 4
January Factory Orders are due out at 10:00 a.m. EST and is expected to rise to 2.0% from 1.1%.

Friday, March 5
February Nonfarm Payrolls are due out at 8:30 a.m. EST and expected to rise to 200,00 from 46,000 and the unemployment rate is expected to stay at 6.3%.
