1.Geopolitical and Fiscal Events. Monday sees Federal Reserve Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari speak. Thursday sees Federal Reserve Kansas City President Esther George speak as does Boston President Eric Rosengren. Friday sees Federal Reserve San Francisco President John Williams speak.

2.Economic Releases. Releases of note this week include the weekly chain store sales, oil/gas numbers, mortgage applications and PPI, retail sales and Michigan Sentiment.

3.Earnings Releases. Notable releases include TEVA JD DIS EA NTES CTRP PRGO SYMC HMC JCP.

Monday, May 9

Eurozone Finance Ministers meet on Greece.

Russia is closed for trading.

Chinese Inflation Data is due out at 9:30 p.m. EDT.

Tuesday, May 10

The latest short interest data from the NYSE and NASDQ reflecting activity from settlement of April 29th.

Presidential Primaries are held in West Virginia and Nebraska.

Wednesday, May 11

Brazil’s Senate votes whether to impeach President Dilma Rousseff.

Thursday, May 12

The Bank of England announces its latest interest rate update and no change is expected.

Friday, May 13

April PPI is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to rise to 0.3% from -0.1%

April Retail Sales is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to rise to 0.9% from -0.3%.

May Michigan Sentiment is due out at 10:00 a.m. EDT and is expected to rise to 90 from 89.

OPEC Monthly Update hits the wires at 7:30 a.m. EDT.
