The Week Ahead For December 13th to 17th

The S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, Russell 2000 and Dow Jones Industrial Average rebounded last week.
1.Geopolitical and Fiscal Events. The games continue in Washington D.C. as the House, Senate and President try to hammer out the Budget Reconciliation Bill and National Defense Bill. The Federal Reserve concludes its last meeting of the year.
2.Economic Releases. Releases of note this week include the weekly chain store sales, oil/gas numbers, mortgage applications and jobless claims as well as NFIB Small Business Optimism, PPI, Retail Sales, Empire State Manufacturing, Housing Starts, Philadelphia Fed Index and Industrial Production.
3.Earnings Releases. Notable releases this upcoming week include LEN TCOM ADBE ACN FDX CCL DRI WGO.

November PPI is due out at 8:30 a.m. EST and is expected to fall to 0.5% from 0.6%.
November NFIB Small Business Optimism Index is due out at 6:00 a.m. EST and last month came in at 98.20. Wednesday, December 15th
December NAHB Housing Market Index is due out at 10:00 a.m. EST and is expected to rise to 84 from 83.
December Empire State Manufacturing Index is due out at 8:30 a.m. EST and is expected to fall to 25 from 30.9.
November Retail Sales is due out at 8:30 a.m. EST and is expected to fall to 0.8% from 1.7% in October.
The Federal Reserve Open Market Committee (FOMC) concludes its two day meeting with their announcement at 2:00 p.m. EST and press conference at 2:30 p.m. EST. Thursday, December 16th
November Industrial Production is due out at 9:15 a.m. EST and is expected to fall to 0.8% from 1.6% last month.
November Housing Starts is due out at 8:30 a.m. EST with an estimate of 1,570,00 against of 1,520,000.
December Philadelphia Fed Index is due out at 8:30 a.m. EST with an estimate of 30 versus 39 in November. Friday, December 17th
