The Week Ahead For April 5th to 9th
The S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average and the NASDAQ 100 were all higher last week.
1.Geopolitical and Fiscal Events. This week sees the IMF and the World Bank hold their annual meetings, virtually for a second year during the week. RBA is out with their latest announcement on Monday night. FOMC minute are also released on Wednesday.
2.Economic Releases. Releases of note this week include the weekly chain store sales, oil/gas numbers, mortgage applications and jobless claims as well as Factory Orders, ISM Non-Manufacturing Index and PPI.
3.Earnings Releases. Notable releases this upcoming week include PAYX PACW RPM LW STZ CAG CCL LEVI WDFC JKS.
Monday, April 5th
February Factory Orders were out at 10:00 a.m. EDT and came in at -0.8% against estimates of -0.5%.
March ISM Non-Manufacturing Index came in at 63.7% against an estimate of 58.5%.
Tuesday, April 6th
Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is out with their latest announcement Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Wednesday, April 7th
February Trade Balance is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to fall to -$70.5 billion from $-68.2 billion.
The latest Federal Reserve Open Market Committee minutes are out at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
Thursday, April 8th
No events of note.
Friday, April 9th
March PPI is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to remain at 0.2%.
