Pro-Insurrection FL Deputy Arrested for Threatening Violence
Donald Trump's band of insurrectionists are finding that accountability is difficult. Trump’s hate rhetoric and incitement of the January 6 insurrection continue to prompt his supporters to make violent threats.
A 29-year-old Sheriff’s Deputy Peter Heneen, who enjoyed six years of employment in Polk Country, Florida, threatened to “make the streets of D.C. run red with blood” via text messages to another Sheriff’s deputy. This law enforcement officer faces criminal charges for supporting the failed January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
A visibly upset Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk Country, Florida, held a news conference and called the text messages of 29-year-old Peter Heneen, “absolutely frightening.”
“Words matter, Sheriff Grady said, and the threatening statements a Polk County deputy allegedly made related to violence at the U.S. Capitol were enough to put him behind bars.
Heneen faces a second-degree felony charge of written threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism,” WTSP-TV reports. He could also be charged with similar federal charges by the U.S. Justice Department, soon headed by Judge Merrick Garland.
“Heneen was arrested and taken into custody Tuesday and has been suspended from duties pending termination procedures.
According to Sheriff Grady, Heneen, in the aftermath of the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol by President Donald Trump supporters, including several white supremacist groups, spent some time texting a fellow deputy sheriff that evening. Sheriff Judd considers the law enforcement officer receiving Heneen’s vile and violent texts a “hero” because, following the two’s conversation, he reported it to superiors.”
The sheriff went public with the Heneen’s alleged text messages during a press conference today....
“Any cop or military which stands in the way is the enemy.”
“We all swore an oath. And if you violate it, you are the same.”
“Should have to drug those tyrants out into the streets and executed them,” “F*ck the federal government. FBI is corrupt. They are all corrupt.”
“I’ll f*cking kill them all.”
The deputy receiving Heneen’s text messages responded to Heneen…
“And you are giving your plans on a traceable app on your phone?”
Heneen responded by saying…
“Yep, they are listening, come and get me!!!” with three raised middle-finger emoji’s.
