Here is a summary of key options movers from Tuesday's close. Several names interested us.
Options volume was led by iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund ETF (EWZ) calls that saw 49,952 of the December 42 Calls trade. This stock closed at $39.58 and is improving technically. The last trade of the call was $1.46. EWZ bottomed at $30.65 on September 13th and has climbed nicely since then.
VIX call action was present again at the $17 level for November expiration as 38,615 traded. Clearly someone sees some weakness ahead despite a peak on Monday at $18.38.
SDPR S&P Retail ETF (XRT) which has fallen and is now below $50 at $48.36 saw December $47 Puts trade 41,344 contracts. Retail stock have recently begun to struggle and clearly someone thinks there is more to go.
