New Speaker of the House Proposes Funding Israel by Cutting IRS Funding

In what can only be called a blackmail attempt, Republicans will only allow $14 Billion in emergency funding to Israel. The Republican House wants Biden to allow U.S. Billionaires to continue to cheat on their taxes.

The new speaker of the House, Mike Johnson (R-LA), a key architect in the attempt to twist the electoral college to overturn the 2020 election, is attempting to set as his first legislative goal to offset $14.3 billion in emergency aid to Israel in exchange for a $14 billion cut in the Internal Revenue Service's enforcement funds. Morning Joe called it a deal to save the Jewish state in exchange for allowing billionaires to cheat on their taxes. Joe Scarborough said..

"In all of the $8 trillion, he just opened the door, 'Here, just drive the trucks through,' of debt – $1 billion, $2 billion, Mike Johnson, $3 billion, $5 billion, $7 billion, $8 billion, $8 billion Mike Johnson and Donald Trump gave America in debt, and suddenly, he won't even help Jews protect themselves. It is so gross, and, making it even grosser."

'This is what we're going to do – we'll protect the Jews if you protect the billionaires. We want billionaire tax cheats to get away with stealing more money from the American people. We'll let you protect the Jews, Joe Biden, but you have to let us protect our donors, our billionaire donors that are tax cheats."

In addition, Mike Johnson is unwilling to provide military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Johnson is following the policy goals of the disgraced, rapist, twice impeached, and four-time criminally indicted President Donald Trump, which would leave the Ukrainian people at the mercy of the brutal, fascist dictator Vladimir Putin, even after the Ukrainian army has retaken half their country's land that the Russian military had seized.

This Joe Scarborough insisted Speaker Johnson has no chance of passing legislation along those lines through the U.S. Senate. Scarborough pointed out that Johnson also intended to nullify the agreement between the White House, the former Speaker McCarthy, and the Senate Republican leader Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on passing the agreed-upon budget. The Senate Appropriations Committee has already made great strides in approving the fiscal year 2024 Legislative Branch; Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies; and Financial Services and General Government appropriations bills.

The consequences of Speaker Johnson and Republican leadership breaking this agreement could lead to a government shutdown in 14 days.

A government shutdown that could far and away exceed the one imposed by former President Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress in 2018-19, which broke the record of any previous shutdown over Trump's border wall funding and lasted 34 full days, making it the longest shutdown in U.S. history. Trump had to give in at the end and allow Congress to end the shutdown.

This shutdown could last 40, 60, 90 days or longer because Trump wants to take revenge for the onslaught of four criminal trials he faces in four jurisdictions and a multitude of civil lawsuits, including the New York State Tax Fraud lawsuit brought by N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James.

Trump, a close ally of Vladimir Putin, is devoted to exacting revenge on Ukraine and its president, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy, over his unwillingness to open a criminal investigation into both Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

The economic damage caused by a 60, 90-day, or longer shutdown will likely severely damage the U.S. Economy and could trigger a recession. Trump believes if he can kneecap the U.S. economy, he can win re-election in November 2024's general election, even if he is a convicted felon.
