Mike Pence Spends Day Testifying Before Special Counsel's Grand Jury

Expect Donald Trump to explode with nasty social media posts tonight and throughout the weekend. Between EJ Carroll and former Vice President Pence testifying he’ll be spinning lies at light speed.

Who will the former, twice impeached, indicted, loser former President Donald Trump attack first? EJ Carroll who went toe to toe with his bully boy attorney Joe Tacopina or former Vice President Pence who clearly isn’t playing for his approval.

Pence decision to show up and sit in front of Jack Smith’s special grand jury and not waiting to give his Trump time to even to decide if he wanted to appeal to the Supreme Court, in hopes the far-right court would delay or reverse the D.C court of appeals panels unanimous decision that Pence had to testify.

NBC News is reporting that former Vice President Mike Pence spent from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today giving testimony before the grand jury impaneled in Washington, D.C. by special counsel Jack Smith.

His testimony comes less than 24 hours after a panel of three judges unanimously from the D.C. appeals court ruled against Donald Trump's demand to keep Pence silent using an executive privilege claim. The only option left for Trump was for him to appeal to the Supreme Court. But before Trump could even decide, Pence agreed to show up this morning and started answering the grand jury’s answering questions.

NBC News, with lookouts at the courthouse, reports it…

 "spotted multiple black SUVs with tinted windows entering the parking garage in the morning. Two black SUVs entered the courthouse garage at around 9 a.m., an entrance that would allow witnesses to head up to the grand jury rooms on the third floor without being seen in the public areas of the courthouse."

Jack Smith appears to have made a huge step forward in his investigation into Trump and his inner circles’ role in attempting to persuade Pence to participate in a conspiracy to illegally overturn the 2020 Presidential election result by having Pence recount specifically what the former president and his minions said to him including the repeatedly demanding he violate the law on Jan 6, 2021.

While Pence has written a memoir that includes some of the pressure he was under and how former VP Dan Quayle advised him if he did what Trump and his inner circle were demanding, he would be breaking the law and violating the U.S. Constitution – his testimony will be the first time he has recounted the events and answered follow-up questions under oath.

Trump has to know Pence’s testimony could lead to his and many in his inner circle’s criminal indictment. Stand by this story is just starting to come into focus.
