Mark Meadows Flipped? Trump Lawyer Lashes Out Over Growing Rumor

If, in fact, Mark Meadows has been flipped against former President Trump in exchange for an immunity deal or greatly reduced criminal charges. Trump is facing an impossible challenge to prevent his conviction for an array of federal crimes.

For the first time, a Trump lawyer for disgraced former President Trump, Alina Habba lashed out at Jack Smith and his prosecutorial team over the rumor that former Donald Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows has secured an immunity deal to testify against her client.

In an interview with Newsmax, Habba like thousands of mob lawyers before her decried the very standard prosecutorial practice of pressuring witnesses to agree to immunity deals in order to secure indictments of other investigative targets.

"What we’re hearing is that [Meadows] was granted immunity,"

"Effectively, he would be a key witness against the president and give testimony in opposition of him. As we've seen time and time again, this is what they did to Allen Weisselberg in New York. This is what they do time and again to anybody that is close to the Trump world because they have nothing."

As is often the case with Trump’s poorly informed lawyers Habba's claim, Weisselberg never had to testify against Trump as part of his plea deal with prosecutors – and it's still not publicly known whether Meadows has agreed to any such deal.

The Independent exclusively reported that Meadows has accepted a deal and has been flipped by Jack Smith and or his prosecutors on Wednesday. No other outlet has confirmed it, and Meadows' attorney called it "complete bullshit."

Still, there must be complete silence between Mark Meadows, President Trump, and their lawyers if this theory of cooperation is true. Meadows’s lawyer is under no obligation to tell the truth or confirm a deal has been struck between his client and the special prosecutor’s office.

Trump parking garage lawyer Habba went on during the Newsmax interview to say the Meadows’ flipping is evidence of the vast "weaponization" of the Justice Department to bring down the former president, who was also the first president in American history to have been impeached on two separate occasions and to be criminally indicted in his post-presidency.

Sounding like Trump’s model lawyer Rot Cohen who eventually was disgraced and disbarred…

"So, they have to squeeze people, scare people, and intimidate them into testifying and in the direction that they want," she complained. "It's very disturbing."
