Michael Burgess claims babies, children being held in horrible, inhumane conditions at the cost of $750 a day to U.S. taxpayers can leave any time; the doors are not locked shocks the consciousness of Americans who know the truth.

President Trump proved himself a pathological liar, a willing child abuser again yesterday claiming in the Oval Office that his child separation announced by his former Attorney General Jeff Sessions on May 7, 2018, and endorsed by Homeland Security Director General Kelly as a policy to deter refugees from coming to the United States, was a policy instituted by the Obama Administration.
Trump claimed that the living conditions were better conditions than existed under the Obama Administration, is another outright lie. It’s documented children suffer in facilities of stench and filth, being forced sleep on concrete floors in cages with insects, rodents, without blankets, soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, leaving babies in dirty diapers for days without caregivers and are being fed rotten food. Trump’s continues to violate the 1997 Flores agreement to move children out of detention centers in no longer than 72 hours mirrors his willingness to ignore the laws of our country. He is setting the stage for a massive number of deaths as influenza, measles, and mumps spread among adults, children, and babies that are being housed in detention.
The fact is that the Obama Administration reduced the refugee flow to 50-year lows from 2014 till 2017 when he left office, without committing criminal serial child abuse. The Obama Administration moved children to H.H.S and into sanitary and safe housing within 72 hours, and no children died under Obama’s humane and legal policies.
President Trump and Vice President Pence deserve to be tried for crimes against humanity at The Hague immediately after the 2020 election along with every member of his administration that has facilitated these heinous crimes.
Americans, who voted for Conman Trump, knew they were voting for a racist, an accused rapist, but did not know they were electing a criminal serial child abuser. Trump has not made America great again; he’s destroyed our nation’s reputation for compassion and undermined the rule of law.
Trump’s sycophants like Texas Republican Rep. Michael Burgess are outright agents of evil. Burgess has never visited the Border Patrol detention facility in Clint, TX, where children were reportedly kept in such horrid inhumane conditions. The government finally relocated hundreds of them to a new site. They dared to say during an interview within an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on Monday evening, that despite reports of appalling conditions for the detained the children including babies as young as seven months—whatever you do, don’t call them concentration camps!
No Congressman Burgess you, your GOP cohorts and this mentally ill President Trump are turning detention facilities into concentration camps and creating conditions that are best described as potentially death camps.
Mr. Burgess chooses to ignore that video of a government lawyer arguing against having to provide necessities like soap and toothbrushes for kids in their care, everything at these facilities. Why is the government paying $750 a day for each child care? If this is cleaning up a swamp or is you and Trump’s GOP looting the American taxpayers.
Then Burgess magnified the child abuse and his lies during the Chris Hayes interview saying if things weren’t peachy keen Burgess claimed, the kids would leave.
“You know what? There’s not a lock on the door,” Burgess told Hayes, explaining that he’d visited the infamous Casa Padre Detention Center.
“Any child is free to leave at any time, but they don’t. You know why? Because they are well taken care of.” (Actually, children have left Casa Padre, and the facility has locked its doors to prevent senators and other observers from getting in.)
It was an egregious lie. The kids are held behind locked doors and are being abused to the point that some are dying. They are guarded against leaving, so Trump and GOP donors collecting $750 a day are not deprived of a dime in blood money. U.S. Democrat Senators, members of Congress are refused access to inspect these concentration camps.
Asked to explain all the reports of horrific, inhumane conditions experienced by the children in Border Patrol custody, Burgess went full-blown truther, saying…
“I don’t know if its hyperbole,” but that “the hatred for this president is so intense, that people are liable to say anything.”
Michael Burgess doesn’t want to recognize the child abuse and therefore is guilty of perpetrating crimes against humanity. More children will die as a result of Congressman Michael Burgess and the rest of the blind GOP elected to office that is nothing more than Trump sycophants.
When the body count rises to the point that even conservative white women are outraged, the momentum will lead to an electoral wipeout in 2020.
