President is so desperate to look like a hero; he’s listening to the medical advice of two conmen Peter Navarro and Rudolph Giuliani, instead of Dr. Fauci and other medical experts. The U.S. is in great danger.
President Donald Trump refusing to listen to the advice of Dr. Fauci during Sunday’s coronavirus task force briefing, touted that his new miracle drug, hydroxychloroquine, is saving people’s lives. Then posed the same question he posed to black voters during 2016 while speaking to a white suburban crowd while running for President…
“What do you have to lose?”
Daniel Dale CNN fact-checker explained during a CNN segment that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had not been approved the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus patients. It has only been approved to treat various other issues like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and malaria.
Dr. Megan Ranney explained that as an emergency room doctor and research scientist herself during a ProPublica interview that she would never use this drug to treat coronavirus.
“This drug has major side effects, including paranoia, hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, suppression of your blood counts, so you became more susceptible to infections, it can cause severe cardiac arrhythmias that can even cause death. Now, these are not common side effects, but they’re common enough that they should not be taken just willy-nilly. It is not like water. It is not harmless.”
Meanwhile, Trump is willing to gamble with people’s lives for even a slim chance to come up with a treatment…
“I don’t want to be in a lab for a year and a half while people are dying,” A small trial did find that it wasn’t effective in treating coronavirus.
Dr. Ranney also refuted Trump’s claim that it would take so long to test. Given that funding has been allocated to the National Institutes of Health and trials are already underway, Ranney said it would likely take “a month or two” to test and discover whether or not it works.
Trump is pushing the wide use of the drug before testing admits like a child “What do I know? I’m not a doctor,” CNN’s Dale agrees with the statement. But that didn’t stop Trump from saying from the Presidential lectern…
“I want them to try it. It may work, and it may not work.”
So far, one man died, and his wife was in critical condition. The couple self-medicated themselves, taking a toxic version of hydroxychloroquine called chloroquine, commonly used to clean fish tanks and comes in a package that resembles the prescription for the drug. Both the aquarium version and medicinal version contain the same ingredients that can help kill parasites, but tank cleaner has additional toxic ingredients.
