The Chart of The Week is a really important chart. The yield on the long end of the Treasury duration curve has been rising since April.
Remember when yields rise, price falls. Also, the inverse is true when yields fall, prices rise.
In December yields began a rise into mid-February, then stocks fell. That remains a possibility if yields rise more and price drops.
Currently, the price on the iShares Barclays 20 Year Treasury Bond Fund ETF (TLT) closed at a new low on Thursday.
As such, we need to watch very closely here as if a bounce of the current level does not occur then yields could spike quickly.
